Wong awarded annual Tony Buzbee Scholarship

Recent Queen City graduate, Vincent Wong, was the recipient of this year’s Tony Buzbee Scholarship Award for the 2025-2026 school year.

Tony Buzbee and the Buzbee Law Firm gives an annual $10,000 scholarship to an outstanding Queen City High School graduate who intends to further his or her studies in college.

Vincent was the salutatorian of his graduating class, received the “Rural and Small-Town National Award” from the College Board National Recognition Program, received the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals Teens Serving Texas Award received the All-State Academic Excellence Award, served as Texarkana Youth Symphony Orchestra concertmaster, attended Texas Boys State and is a two-time State Bronze Medalist in Boys’ Singles Tennis.

“This young man is truly outstanding. I’m proud to say that Vincent will be joining his sister Clare at Texas A&M this fall studying engineering,” Buzbee said. “Congrats and good luck Vincent! Proud of you!”
