Williams honored at reception

Dr. Charlotte Williams was honored for her 29 years of service at Queen City ISD during a Retirement Reception at Morris Upchurch Middle School.

After attending school in Queen City from Kindergarten through 12th grade, Dr. Williams obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from East Texas State University in Texarkana and returned to Queen City to begin her career in education in 1992.

Over the years, she served the district in numerous teaching and administrative roles and continued her own education by earning her Master’s Degree from Texas A&M - Texarkana and her Doctoral Degree from Lamar University.

Dr. Williams was in her fifth year as Superintendent of Schools when she announced her retirement last fall. Her loyalty and dedication to Queen City ISD earned her a place in the hearts of many in the community as was evidenced by the turnout of coworkers, peers, students, family and friends. Queen City ISD wishes her the best as she begins this new chapter of life.
