Wildflower Trails canceled this year
Something big was set to happen on April 25. Any time you celebrate an anniversary of 50 years of anything it’s going to be one of epic proportions, then when you factor the beauty and a love of community, it’s going to be even more special.
Indeed, the Texas Wildflower Trails has been a staple celebration in Linden, Hughes Springs, and Avinger for the past 49 years. This year was to be an extra special celebration as it is the 50th anniversary of Wildflower Trails. However, the celebration was canceled due to COVID-19 and shelter in place orders from Governor Greg Abbott.
Wildflowers, though, can be found in many places, including one’s own yard.
For those who are abiding by the shelter in place order, take a trip to the front or back yard and look for those beautiful colors dotting the green of the grass.
For those who have to work during this time, wildflowers are in full bloom along the roadsides and can make traveling to and from work a little more colorful and beautiful.
While the festivities may be canceled, the beauty still remains.
