Why?

Another year is here, and we look back at the past few years, and some have many questions, How did I make it through that one? Why was last year so hard for a lot of people. What is this year going to be like. Will it be a harder year. Why are these things happening. Why so much death and destruction. Why so much sorrow, pain, and heartache. Why so much division. So much turmoil. So much hate. So much chaos. People against each other, even in their own households. Children suffering, starving, abused.

Weather patterns shifting, spring-like days in winter, tornados in December, floods in some parts, drought in others. Famines, sickness, disease. Why, why, why??

All the answers can be found in God’s word. Before Jesus ascension, he warned the apostles of what would be coming, he left them, and us no surprises. Jesus spoke of these things.

He said in this life you will have trouble, in this life, men will hate you, in this life, you will be persecuted. In this life, there will be pestilence, famines, earthquakes, wars, and rumors of wars. Deception, false Christ’s, false prophets, nation against nation.

Why must these things be? In reality, they always have been, but the closer it gets to the coming of Jesus, the more these things will escalate. These are the days of sorrow, travail, as a woman in labor about to be delivered.

Jesus said that these things must be, but the end is not yet. We think this world might look hopeless, for God said after the flood in the days of Noah, that men’s heart is evil from his youth. But it’s not all doom and gloom.

Jesus warned of things to come, but he also gave hope to his children. If we endure unto the end, we shall be saved. The gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world. When you see these things coming to pass, look up, because your redemption (deliverance) is drawing near. I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there you may be also. He’s coming back in all his glory, with the holy angels. Come ye, blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

In this world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you, let not your heart be troubled. I will send the Comforter that he may abide with you forever.

Look up children, we have great and precious promises from our Lord and Savior!

Look up children, Jesus can heal wounds of sorrow, grief, fear, anxiety!

Look up children, our deliverance is sooner than we think!
