ANSWER
Atlanta’s Louise Grade School built in 1925. This building housed all grades until Miller Grade School was built in 1935. Located on North Louise St. where the present city hall parking lot is now, the school was torn down in 1959 after the completion of the Atlanta Grade School.
After the oil boom of 1935, the Miller Grade School was built. The faculty was increased and the curricula expanded so that the system was granted affiliation with all colleges and universities in the state. In 1938, Mrs. T. P. Trice and her mother, Mrs. Frank Bivins, gave five acres of land to the school and a modern lighted stadium was built named the Bivins-Trice Stadium.
In 1945, B. H. Hudspeth was elected superintendent and under his 15 years of leadership progress was made and the size of the district increased from 15 to some 150 square miles. A number of small districts were annexed. Some of these were 1. Liberty Grove and Harmony, 1948. 2. Midway and Antioch, 1949. 3. Alamance and Oak Grove, 1956. 4. Bivins, Huffines and Leek Creek, 1957.
