WHERE IS IT?
OK, so who and where is this fellow is not a fair game question this week. He’s someone we know, although dressed quite a differently. He’s not even Santa Claus exactly. He is “Mr. Sandi,” however. And just for you to know, he’s originally from Florida. He’s being displayed by Monica Beeman of Cass County Fitness. See more in the answer below.
ANSWER
Take note of these descriptive articles Mr. Sandi is wearing or displaying -- Sunglasses -- Sandals -- Coconut mai tai drink -- Cut offs -- Hawaiian shirt -- Spaced out eyes -- And, finally, see him holding that pickle? What’s that all about? Mr. Sandi is Monica Beeman’s longtime friend. She’d had him ever since she lived in Florida. However, when Monica came to Texas, Mr. Sandi came along. Not so much sand, of course.
He’s part of a Christmas tradition known by Monica from having lived in Florida. It’s a pickle game ornament called “Find the Pickle.” You hide the pickle deep in the Christmas tree, then on Christmas morning tell the youngsters to see if they can find the pickle by sight only. If they do, then they win the prize which may be to open one’s present first or perhaps have the first bite of food.
Monica has had Mr. Sandi for years. She brings him out each Christmas and puts him at the center of the Cass County Fitness work-out room. He’s cool. And probably knows it.
