The Tibetan Spaniel is an ancient breed, originating in Tibetan monasteries as watch dogs and companions.
These little guys love to climb the monasteries wall, watch for strangers coming down the road and altering the Tibetan Mastiffs that strangers are coming.
The Tibetan Spaniels are often mistaken as a Pekingese, with good reason.
The Tibetan Spaniels are the foundation breed to the Pekingese, gifted by the monks to the Chinese, the Chinese through selecting breeding developed the Pekingese.
In the 1960s they came to the US and became a recognized breed by the AKC in 1984. To learn more about them. To learn more about the Tibetan Spaniels visit https://www.tsca.ws/aboutthebreed/.
