Texarkana College food giveaway

As the holiday season approaches, many of us look forward to time with loved ones and warm meals, but for many college students, this time of year brings uncertainty and hardship. At the Texarkana College Foodbank, we’re preparing for our 8th annual Thanksgiving in a Box initiative, a tradition rooted in compassion and community. This program provides students and their families with a full Thanksgiving meal, offering relief and dignity during a time when campus closures pause access to vital support services.

Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, we’ve already served more than 633 students and 1,910 family members in previous years. But the need continues to grow, and this year we’re working toward a fundraising goal of $15,000 to meet it. The food giveaway is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 20, and every contribution, no matter the amount, helps us fight food insecurity and support student success.
