Queen City High School tennis player Vincent Wong is volunteering to collect and send used tennis balls to a recycling facility in Vermont.
The program began in May of 2019, and today Wong is working on his tenth box sent for recycling. This is approximately 2,000 used tennis balls to make footing for playgrounds, balls for dogs, sports shoes and a variety of green products.
The program is hosted by RecycleBalls which is promoted by Wilson Sporting Goods. The Queen City student is giving special thanks to Kenny Powers of Powers Pharmacy in Linden for sponsoring the local recycling program.
