SCARECROW DAYS ARE BACK!

October 4th will kick off the Atlanta Area Chamber’s “Scarecrow Days,” which means residents and visitors will be delighted by creative scarecrows throughout Downtown and beyond!

The Chamber has encouraged any and all members to create a scarecrow using whatever materials they like and to come up with their own theme to represent their business. In years past, we have seen a scarecrow chef, plumber, nurse, and even the toothfairy! We have also seen famous characters such as Thomas the Train and the loveable Minions!

Each year brings a new chance for businesses to win the coveted People’s Choice trophy, which is currently held by Topp Hat’s Kickin’ Chicken for their “Headless Chicken-horseman” from 2020! Monday, October 4th the People’s Choice contest will begin. To cast your vote, simply “like” your favorite(s) on the Chamber’s Facebook Album, 2021 Scarecrow Days. Late entries will be added to the album throughout the week, so be sure to keep checking back!

Next week, Atlanta has some special guests coming to town: The KTBS 3 Community Caravan! Jan Elkins, Rick Rowe and the channel 3 gang will be visiting Downtown on Monday, October 4th – Thursday, October 7th and getting a little taste of Atlanta life!

We will show them around to some of our favorite spots, meet with some locals and talk about some of our most popular upcoming events!

Atlanta, TX may be one of the best kept secrets of the ArkLaTex, and we want to let the region in on it!
