Readers’ Choice Best People and Places 2024 is in final few days – VOTE NOW

Readers’ Choice Best People and Places is in its final few days. The contest will end on August 9, at 10:00 p.m. and will only include the best people and places. There will be no extensions this year.

We want to thank all the participants this year. We have had a few stoppages and glitches but overall. For using a brand-new platform, I am thankful for the health competition and fun it has generated. This new system will only get better.

There has been some confusion on the purpose of “Readers Choice”. The goal of the promotion is to get our readers to participate in who THEY believe the best of a particular category is. Readers choose who to vote on and who they believe is best. The newspaper only provides a platform for the fun. The newspaper staff stays out of the promotion because overall we are extremely proud of the businesses and people in our community and would prefer to cheer them all on.

Like the previous few years, we are featuring two contests. This contest features the best people and places. The second contest later this year will be all about food, drink, arts, and entertainment. This year we are using new voting software to hold the contest. This comes with excitement and challenges.

Some things to think about when voting.

• All Ballots are Digital in 2024. There will be no paper voting this year.

• Click on each main category, like Best of Automotive, Best of Health & Medicine, or Best of Beauty to find a list of options to vote from.

• You can vote once every hour per category

• Advertisers can put an ad/logo above their entry. Contact sales@casscountynow. com or call 903-796-7133. Adding a logo can increase attention, visibility, and reputability. Contact Shawn Larson for more information.

• VOTING runs through August 9. This year the date will not be extended.

• The ballots take a few moments to load on the page after the rest of the page loads, be patient.

• If something doesn’t look right on the form try to refresh

• If you have any other questions, please contact media@casscountynow.com. Also, before you submit a new entrée keep these things in mind: 1. Vote first to ensure someone else hasn’t suggested it already.

2. Please nominate the person or business in the right category. 3. Please only nominate an entry once per category. Duplicates and their votes may be deleted.

4. If nominating an individual, please also list the associated business. Example: Dave Thomas - Joe’s Hardware.

5. Companies must physically perform business within Cass County unless specified differently.
