The Christmas tree above which is chosen first place decoration recalls the memory of Jacob “Dude” Turner, a youthful community member killed a car accident in 2010 and who is now remembered by several activities.
Linden Seventh-Day Adventist Church Pastor Gary Howard and his wife have come to decorate and add to the Christmas tree the church is sponsoring on the Cass County Courthouse lawn.
Queen City Police looking for suspects
The Queen City Police Department announced on social media that they were seeking individuals who robbed a local business. The security footage shows that the business is the CEFCO convenience store, with a timestamp of 12-26 at 1:24 A.M.
According to their release, “This vehicle was used in a theft at a local business last night here in Queen City. It is believed to be a Jeep Cherokee, not sure what model but it has a black top and white bottom. It also has a sunroof and luggage bars on top. This vehicle had a paper tag on the back and nothing on the front. It was occupied by four people.
“Two black males got into the back seat and one black female got into the front passenger seat as they were fleeing the location. Unknown race of the driver. This vehicle went west on FM 2791. If you know this vehicle or the occupants, please call 903-796-7986 ext. 101,102,104 or 911 in the Atlanta area to speak with an investigator. Thank you for your help in this matter.”
In the comments, individuals identified the vehicle as a 2022 Jeep Compass. There were no additional public updates from the Queen City Police Department at the time this article was released.
