Queen City ISD kicks off year with convocation

Queen City ISD staff members gathered together by campuses at Morris Upchurch Middle School on Monday, Aug. 3, for their annual “Back to School” Convocation.

Superintendent, Dr. Charlotte Williams said, “While the atmosphere might have looked and felt different from years past, we were thrilled to be able to come together in any fashion. It was a great day with a great speaker kicking off what we believe will be an even greater school year.”

Phil Boyte, author of “School Culture by Design” and creator of “Breaking Down the Walls” facilitated three community building sessions that were designed to build relationships and trust among staff members. J.K. Hileman staff member, Rachel Byrd, said, “I’ve never had so much fun at a meeting before!”
