Olde 1852; Barbwyre celebrate grand opening
Walking into the Olde 1852 Market Company and Barbwyre Boutique, one gets a feeling of hometown pride and love.
Indeed, owner Brooker McKinney is a major force in that feeling. Greeting each person who walks through the door of her store, she has a way of making each one feel at home and welcomed.
Taking the time to show everyone around, you can see the pride she has for her hometown of Linden. Not only in how she talks about the town, but in the items she carries.
Many of the items she sells are from local residents and businesses, handmade and crafted with love.
Items range from handmade leather goods from Piney Woods Leather, wonderful metal signs depicting the Linden 1934 water tower made by MC welding, delicious smelling car air fresheners from Mommy Made Scents and handcrafted soaps and candles from Gibbie’s Raw Essentials.
There are even items baring pictures taken by McKinney herself.
On Saturday, she celebrated the grand opening of Olde 1852 Market Company and Barbwyre Boutique with a ribbon-cutting followed by cookies, cupcakes, and drinks. It was a celebration of not only the grand opening but of a city she loves.
Stop by and shop a wonderful selection of items, including clothing for the whole family. Business hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
