Never Alone

2 Corinthians 4:8- We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed, we are perplexed, but not in despair, persecuted, but not forsaken, cast down, but not destroyed, always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

These words of Paul remind me of an old gospel hymn that says “I see the lighting flashing, and heard the thunder roll, I’ve felt sins breakers dashing, trying to conquer my soul, I’ve heard the voice of my Savior telling me still to fight on, he promised never to leave me, never to leave me alone. No, never alone, no, never alone, he promised never to leave me, never to leave me alone.”

Through all of Job’s woes, his troubles and heartaches, he still proclaimed “I know my redeemer lives.”

Through David’s battles with Saul, he proclaimed “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.”

If we see a shadow, we know there’s a light source somewhere, and the Apostle John said Jesus is the Light that lights every man that comes into the world.

He promised never to leave us alone, that he would never forsake us. Troubled on every side, but we are not forsaken!! Bruised and broken, but not cast out!!! Sad, lonely, mourning, but we are comforted! For the God of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, but is always watching over his children!

Psalm 16:8- I have set the Lord always before me, because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices, my flesh also shall rest in hope.

Psalm 18:6- In my distress I called upon the Lord and cried unto my God, he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him even unto his ears. Then the earth shook and trembled, the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth, there went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured. Coals were kindled by it, he bowed the heavens also, and came down, and darkness was under his feet. And he rode up on a cherub, and did fly, yea, he did fly up on the wings of the wind.

V. 16- He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters. He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me, for they were too strong for me.

He promised he would never leave you alone! Through all the struggles of life, Jesus is with you, through all heartache and pain, Jesus is comforting you.

Through all trouble and tribulation, Jesus is keeping you. He is a strong tower, a rock of defense, a deliver, and help in time of trouble! What an awesome God!

Jesus said “Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world!” What a great and precious promise from our Lord! No, never alone...God bless.
