Motorcycle accident results in fatality

On Saturday, Aug. 15, at approximately 1:55 p.m., the Naples Police Department responded to a crash involving motorcycle and a pick-up truck in in the 500 block of WL Doc Dodson Blvd W in Naples. One fatality resulted from the incident.

A preliminary investigation indicates that a 2007 Harle Davidson motorcycle, driven by Thomas Earl Stoker, 63, o Daingerfield, made a U-turn into the path of a 2015 Ford pickup driven by Richard Heath Gilbert, 35, of Douglasville. Both vehicles were traveling west in the 500 block o WL Doc Dodson Blvd west.

Stoker was pronounced deceased. Gilbert was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
