Man drowns in Lake Wright Patman

A Redwater man drowned Tuesday afternoon after attempting to retrieve his belongings from the water near the low water bridge, officials said.

Texas Parks and Wildlife game wardens responded to the scene around 4:30 p.m. on March 11, 2025. Witnesses told officers the man had gone into the water to recover a personal item that had floated away but never resurfaced.

The victim was identified as Frank Anthony Collier of Redwater.
