Gospel singing Aug. 3rd 

There will be a gospel singing at the Queen City Methodist Church on Saturday, August 3rd beginning at 5:00 p.m. There will be congregational singing as well as special music by local singers. A sandwich supper with ice cream for dessert will be served.

We want to invite all to come out and join us for a fun evening full of fellowship, food, and good ole Gospel music. For more information contact Pastor Jeff Dotson at 903-826-5828.

LCA quarterly meeting Aug. 5th

Linden Cemetery Association will hold its quarterly meeting on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Linden Methodist Church.

Society meeting

The Caddo Wildflower Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas meets at 6:30 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Mary Dougherty Senior Citizens Center, 507 S. Kaufman St., Linden. Meetings are open to the public and start with a potluck before ending with a native plants/flowers raffle.

The Mary Daugherty Senior Citizens Center is open all week for anyone who would like to join the group there for bingo, exercise, crocheting and a meal.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday exercise is from 9:15 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by bingo from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and eating from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

On Tuesday crocheting is from 9:15 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by bingo from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and eating from 10:45 to 11:30. On Thursday bingo is from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., followed by eating from 10:45 to 11:30.

Every third Friday of the month they have “Birthday Friday” where they celebrate birthdays and have cake for those present. That normally begins at 10:45.

Every 1st Thursday and 4th Tuesday they are hosting game day at 1 p.m.
