Alamance Baptist Church is hosting a hamburger supper to raise money for new chairs and tables on Oct. 15th, from 4-6 p.m. $8.00 donation.

The ground-breaking y for the memorial to honor Billy R. Kirkland and those veterans interred in Center Grove Cemetery will be Saturday, October 15, 4:00 p. m., at Center Grove Baptist Church in Linden, Texas. After the ceremony is concluded, the Center Grove Cemetery Association will host its annual “pot stew” fundraiser from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Center Grove Fellowship Hall.

Center Grove Baptist Church remains devotedly proud of veterans who have served our nation. Pastor T. J. Bolt and members of Center Grove Baptist Church wish to give tribute to those who have honored our nation with military service, but who are now interred in our cemetery. Billy R. Kirkland’s interment is at Corinth Cemetery, but he was a devoted member of Center Grove Baptist Church since his retirement and return to Cass County in 2011. He frequently conducted Memorial Day and Veterans Day programs at the church and Corinth Cemetery.

Please plan to attend.
