JE Manning American Legion Post 258 Yard Sale is Oct. 15

The JE Manning American Legion Post 258 is hosting a Fall Community Yard Sale on Saturday, October 15th from 8 AM - 5 PM. In order to not conflict with the Maker’s Market the week prior, we welcome not only the Maker’s Market Vendors, individuals purging from their house and also small businesses to the event! The American Legion will be selling flags, Memorial Bricks, pre-packaged meals and general fundraising opportunities. Please leave a message and he will call you back. The Booth Rent is $25. The location of the event will be at 308 N. Louise St., Atlanta, TX 75551 behind the City Hall / Police Station. Restrooms will be available onsite. We welcome any students seeking extra credit who would like to volunteer with the American Legion. We hope to see you there!

Free meal offered at FUMC QC

First United Methodist Church in Queen City will be offering a free meal of beans & cornbread on Monday, October 3 beginning at 11:00 a.m. All are invited. For more information contact Pastor Jeff Dotson at (903) 826-5828.

National Life Chain Sunday 2022

Life Chain is a pro-life organization mobilizing Christians to join a national prayer chain seeking God’s forgiveness. Join us on October 2, from 2:30-3:30, as the National Life Chain calls out our nation to 60 minutes of intercession and public witness. This will be a silent prayerful event on the sidewalks at the intersection of West Mian and Louise Streets.

If possible, please meet with us from 1:45 – 2:15 pm at Cornerstone Assembly of God for a time of prayer dedicated to asking our Father that His will be done in this event.

Parking is available at Cornerstone Assembly of God, Hanner Funeral Home (provided there is no funeral), AISD Administration Building, and First Nazarene Church.

Hamburger Supper Oct. 15

Alamance Baptist Church is hosting a hamburger supper to raise money for new chairs and tables on Oct. 15th, from 4-6 p.m. $8.00 donation.
