Three bodybuilders representing Atlanta and Cass County Fitness center were on stage at the amateur and professional International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation (IFBB) show in Shreveport, LA, May 25.

While not finishing as high as they wished, the three did achieve one first and four second place medals and novice recognition as well. They competed in the amateur division of the amateur and professional show.

Beeman earned a first place in her Open Figure category. She then took a second place in the Masters Figure 40+.

“I did not finish as high as I wanted,” Monica said. “But the show went well for us. We brought our best version of ourselves, and I’m proud of the hard work we put in.”

Beeman said she has decided to take a year off from the stage “to build a better physique which means more muscle and lean down.”

Results for the two other local contestants were: — Jacob Pyle, second in Masters Physique 40+ and second in Open Physique.

— Kacy McCall, second in the Wellness Novice category.

Pyle expressed encouragement as the result of his finish. He said his plan is to keep on working towards another professional level show in 2025.

“I want to earn my professional level pro card,” he said. “I’m looking to be ready.”

The pro card of which Pyle speaks is the goal for the bodybuilder who begins by competing first at the amateur level. The bodybuilder continues seeking the opportunity to compete for a pro card with the IFBB at the professional level.

Contestant Kacy McCall said she was also pleased, with her participation.

“I’m going to continue with bodybuilding,” Lacy said. “I hope to go to another show in a year. I’m excited.”

Beeman expressed a final word of special appreciation. “I appreciate the support we had from the local community. We had 37 people who came to watch the four hour show. We think 2025 will be even bigger and better for all of us.”
