Linden voters will decide three seats on city council

Linden voters will decide three seats on its city council in the upcoming election Nov. 3. With seven candidates from which to choose, the Journal-Sun is sponsoring and moderating a forum where candidates can introduce themselves and take questions about their position on issues that matter most to voters.

Alderman Kenny Hamilton and Alderman Jeanie Stevens have chosen not to run for re-election. Charles “Chuck” Evans, Jr. is the only incumbent on the ballot. Additionally, candidates running for Linden City Council are James Wayne Johnson, Whitney Gibbs Goebel, Tiffany Dawn Whorton, Mary Dowd, Lynn Reynolds and Brenda Boon Deming.

Music City Texas Theatre is hosting the event, Thursday, Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. Social distancing guidelines will be followed. Join us at the theater or Facebook Live.
