Linden officials match donations

Linden Mayor Clarence Burns and City Manager Bob Swisher present a matching donation from the City of Linden July 29 to Byron Williams and founder of the HOPE Initiative, Dr. Robert Harper. The donation matches that which was donated on behalf of NFL player partner Williams. The summit is only the first in a series of programs. The second program, which will take place after the start of the school year, will have the teens interact with local law enforcement to aid in building trust, educate them on community policing, and afford law enforcement the opportunity to better understand how the teens view them.
