Linden-Kildare 2021 val and sal

Kendall Wells is the 2021 Valedictorian for Linden-Kildare High School with a weighted GPA of 103.6 and unweighted GPA of 4.0.

Kendall is the daughter of Kyle and Rebecca Wells.

Some of her high school highlights include: getting the last kill of her final game ever in volleyball, getting a personal record and placing third at regionals in the pole vault event and qualifying for International DECA.

Her academic and extracurricular activities plus awards received were: National Honor Society President, DECA President, Student Council Vice-President, Class Vice-President, Female Athlete of the Year, volleyball and golf MVP, track regional champion, golf district champion and regional qualifier, tennis district champion and regional qualifier, varsity cheer captain and volleyball captain.

Kendall earned the Joseph and Clifford Nelson Murphey Scholarship - $3,000, the Howard and Sue Robinson Foundation Scholarship - $8,000, Linden’s Lions Club Scholarship - $500, the Jacob Dude Turner Memorial Scholarship - $500, the L-K Athletic Booster Club Scholarship - $250 and the Community Youth Talent Show Scholarship - $200.

Kendall plans to attend Texas A&M University where she will major in biomedical science. After obtaining a bachelor’s she hopes to go to dental school and specialize in orthodontics.

Linzy Callaway is the 2021 Salutatorian for Linden-Kildare High School with a weighted GPA of 103.4 and unweighted GPA of 4.0. Linzy is the daughter of Kristy and James Lemmon.

Her academic and extracurricular activities plus awards received were: DECA State Finalist, Most Outstanding, Co-Captain of the cheer squad and Vice-President of National Honor Society.

Linzy earned the L-K Athletic Booster Club Scholarship, the Cass County Retired School Employees Scholarship, the Community Youth Talent Show Scholarship, the Linden-Kildare Ex-Students Association Scholarship, the Jefferson Regional Quilt Alliance Scholarship, the Academic Excellence SFA Scholarship and the Camp Springs Missionary Baptist Church Schoalrship.

Linzy plans to attend Stephen F. Austin and obtain her bachelor’s degree in mathematics and then attend the University of Houston for optometry school.
