LifeNet EMS service coming to Linden

Starting in June, the residents of Linden will begin seeing a new EMS service around town. LifeNet EMS Agency is branching out by adding Linden to the areas that they serve. While they do serve Cass County as a whole, Christus St. Michael is currently the EMS agency that serves Linden.

LifeNet EMS Agency was founded in 1983 by Don and Mary Ruggles to honor their son Tony. They started by establishing a full-time air medical service for the state of Arkansas and the Texarkana area. Since then, LifeNet has bloomed to provide emergency and non-emergency ground and air ambulance services in Southwest Arkansas, Northeast Texas, and Central Oklahoma.

The company also operates two emergency helicopters, which are based in Texarkana, which can be in the air within ten minutes of a call. LifeNet even operates a fix wing plane that is available to patients when using a helicopter isn’t feasible, but air transport is necessary.

LifeNet is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is simple: Our mission is to provide our customers and communities with quality out-of-hospital medical care and transportation. For us, the patient comes first. No exceptions. Indeed, LifeNet seems committed to providing the best care to those in need.
