LAKIN POWELL

SENIOR

Lakin is the daughter of Justin Powell and Kayla Finlayson, and Pamela Powell, the granddaughter of Angela and James Pond, and Lisa and Eugene Powell, and the late Warner and Shirley Finlayson. Lakin is the sister of Lexi Powell, Olivia Daniel, Samantha Havard, and Ellis Solley.

Lakin has been a member of the BHS Student Council for four years where she has served as vice president for two years. Lakin is a member of the National Honor Society and has been the NHS vice president for one year. Lakin has been a student mentor for three years and a member of the yearbook staff for two years. This is Lakin’s fourth time representing her class on the homecoming court.

After high school, Lakin plans to major in art and creative writing. She wants to pursue a career as a tattoo artist while also continuing to write. Outside of school, Lakin enjoys reading, hanging out with her family and friends, and doing random activities. She mostly enjoys fighting with her little brother.

Lakin would like to thank her parents most of all. She would like to thank her dad for always being someone, she can turn to no matter the time or place, her mom for always giving everything even when she has little, and her bonus mom for always telling her the truth, even when it’s hard to hear. Lakin is also grateful for her grandparents. She would like to thank her Nana for always cooking for her and her siblings even when she doesn’t feel good, her Pa for working on her truck whenever she needs him, her Nanoo for encouraging her to do her best, and her Paw-Paw for always making her laugh. Lakin would also like to thank her best friend Mary for always making sure she passes her classes. Finally, Lakin would like to thank God for the life and opportunities she has been blessed with.
