Atlanta’s volleyball team defeated Hooks in its final district game last week and nailed down a district championship and second consecutive undefeated championship run in the process.

October 25, 2022, will be a date to remember for the Lady Rabbs’ volleyball squad.
Atlanta not only celebrated Senior Night, but beat Hooks in three sets to seal its second straight undefeated district run.
Senior players Kaylon Partain, Rylie Pattillo, Amaya Young, Sabriiyah Young, Keymya Smith and Janeisha Fields plus managers Alley Jefferson and Anniyah Duckett were honored before the contest.
As Coach Maxwell said, “It was one for the books”. The Lady Hornets didn’t make it easy but Atlanta won in three sets, 25-22, 29-27 and 25-20.
The seniors have not lost at home since 2019. Kym Sheppard postred 13 kills and three blocks, Keymya Smith added seven kills and one block, Janeisha Fields had two kills, Amaya Young had five kills and one block, Sabriiyah Young recorded four kills and one ace, Makaylin King had four kills and two digs, Rylie Pattillo added 22 assists, Annemarie Hanner had 13 assists and three aces, Carlajah Adger had 11 digs and two kills, Ziza Garcia had 10 digs and one ace and Kaylon Partain added 34 digs, three kills and three aces.
The Lady Rabbs faced Mt. Pleasant Chapel Hill on Tuesday, Nov. 1, for a Bi-District championship.
