J.K. Hileman students invite local officers in remembrance of 9/11

Last week, in honor and remembrance of 9/11, the school district had officers and officials from the Texas Highway Patrol, the Cass County Sheriff ’s Office, the Queen City Fire Department, and our own Queen City School District Police Department at J.K. Hileman Elementary to assist in car and bus rider drop off as well as greet students as they entered the building.

First to fourth grade Awesome Bulldogs for the week (Brinkli Stringer, Silas Miller, Kutter Howard, and Aaliyah Bowman) were school representatives who gave the officers cards made by various grade levels.

In addition, these students traveled with school officials to other local First Responder agencies in Cass County to deliver cards and gifts and to express our gratitude for the work they do in keeping our community safe.

As an added bonus, Chief Robin Betts of the Atlanta Fire Department personally invited the students and Mrs. Breiby to ride on the fire engine with him in a local First Responders Parade.
