IMPORTANT NOTICE
On June 6, Atlanta City Manager Danica Porter issued an important public notice regarding conservation this week.
According to the release, “The city of Atlanta is issuing a water conservation request to all residents and businesses in the city of Atlanta. Repairs are scheduled for Wednesday, June 12th beginning at 11:00 p.m. For work associated with the water treatment plant at Graphics Packaging. The water supply to the city will be down for an estimated 30 hours.”
The City of Atlanta Texas has a contract with Graphic Packaging to supply water to Atlanta.
“Residents are asked to avoid non-essential water uses such as irrigation, and filling swimming pools. Basic water-saving measures will help conserve water during the outage and allow the system to operate from water stored in tanks.
“The city is making all efforts to plan for this outage. In the event that pressure falls below minimum levels a precautional boil order may be issued.”
The City of Atlanta appreciates cooperation, “Thank you for your part in helping the city conserve water during this repair.”
