I Shall Not Want
Psalm 23:1 The Lord Is my Shepherd, I shall not want…
We are all familiar with this passage of scripture that David wrote so long ago.
David was making it known that it was the Lord that provided everything he needed, and he will not fail to provide the need.
There is no lack in God because he owns it all. There is no lack to those who diligently seek him, follow him, and serve him wholeheartedly.
Philippians 4:19 - For my God shall supply All your need according to his riches in glory, by Christ Jesus.
Psalm 23:2a - He makes me to lie down in green pastures.
Ezekiel 34:15 - I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord God.
Psalm 23:2b - He leads me beside the still waters.
Rev. 7:17 - For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters, and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
Psalm 23:3 - He restores my soul, he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his names sake.
Psalm 5:8 - Lead me O Lord, in thy righteousness, because of mine enemies, make thy way straight before my face.
Psalm 31:3 - For thou art my rock and my fortress, therefore for thy names sake, lead me and guide me.
Psalm 23:4a - Yea, thou I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.
Psalm 3:6 - I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people that have set themselves against me round about.
Psalm 27:1 - The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 23:4b - For thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
Psalm 16:8 - I have set the Lord always before me, because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Psalm 23:5 - Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies, thou anointed my head with oil, my cup runneth over.
Psalm 92:10 - But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of a unicorn, I shall be anointed with fresh oil. Mine eyes also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.
Psalm 23:6 - Surely goodness and mercy (loving kindness) shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalm 27:4 - One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.
The LORD is MY Shepherd, I shall not lack for provisions, for oil, for protection, for mercy, for goodness, for help, for strength, for salvation!
Call on him and he will hear you in the day of trouble. Somehow, some way, he will provide what you have need of, if you continue to trust him…..God bless.
