HOMETOWN PIONEERS
Keisha Shelling is the Administration Clerk for the City of Atlanta. Shelling was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and finished high school at South Mountain High School in 1992. She worked at the Bank of America in Arizona before moving to Atlanta, Texas in 2010 to be closer to her father while he was sick. Her father, Charles James passed away in 2014.
She has three children, two daughters and a son. Shelling started work at Wells Fargo Bank and worked there for four years. Then she started working at Atlanta City Hall in June of 2016, starting off as a cashier and advanced to administration clerk.
Shelling handles birth certificates, death certificates and cemetery plots. She bought her home in 2015 and decided to make Atlanta her permanent home. She enjoys working with her fellow co-workers and the “good people of Atlanta, Texas.” In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and working on her house.
