High-speed chase ends in arrest
A man with multiple felony warrants was arrested on May 22 in Arkansas after fleeing Cass County Sheriff ’s Office— first in a vehicle and then on foot, according to local authorities.
According to officials, CCSO notified the Arkansas sheriff ’s department in Miller County that they were requesting assistance with capturing Anthony Harris, who had fled in a vehicle and eventually on foot before crossing the state line into Miller County.
Miller County deputies said they responded to the area to assist at 8:30 p.m. In a coordinated effort with CCSO, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Game and Fish, volunteer fire departments out of both Cass and Miller counties, private citizens and the Telford Unit tracking dogs and handlers, Harris was arrested near Miller County Road 107.
Officials said Harris had multiple felony warrants out of several jurisdictions and was arrested and taken to the Miller County Jail where warrants were served on him.
A hold was placed on him for Cass County, as well.
