Harris named new assistant superintendent for Atlanta ISD

Atlanta ISD appoints Jason Harris as the new Assistant Superintendent. Harris is replacing Dave Wilcox who has taken the Winnsboro Superintendent position.

Jason is a 1991 graduate of Quachita Baptist University and a 2003 graduate of Texas A&M University, Texarkana with a Master of Education.

Harris brings 28 years of experience in public education to the job. During his school career, he has served as High School Principal, Intermediate Campus Principal, High School Assistant Principal, Assistant Athletic Director, Head coach and classroom teacher. He has worked in Carthage ISD, Texarkana ISD, West Orange-Cove CISD, Pleasant Grove ISD, Redwater ISD and Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD.

Harris has been married to Brianne Harris for 26 years. They have three children Major Harris, Miller Harris, and Macie Kate Harris.
