Greer signs with Bacone University
Senior Jolie Greer from Bloomburg ISD signed an athletic golf scholarship on May 17, to attend and compete at Bacone University in Muskogee, Okla. Jolie is the first golfer in Bloomburg history to receive a golf scholarship.
Jolie has been a captain and leader of the Bloomburg ladies’ golf team since the program was created two short years ago. Within two years Jolie has led the team to two district titles and two top five finishes individually including a third place individual medal earlier this season.
“Jolie has character traits and leadership skills that will help her succeed not only on the course but in the classroom as well. I am proud to have been her coach and teacher and I know she will succeed in this next chapter of her life,” Head Coach Matt Fomby said. “Congratulations Jolie Greer.”
