God’s the Winner

What is a battle?

A battle is a fight between people or groups. In 2 Samuel 23:10 the Bible says He arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the LORD wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to spoil.

What is a victory? A victory means winning a battle. We see in 1 Chronicles 29:11 it says Thine, O Lord, is the greatness and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty; for all that is in the heaven and the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.

God is battling the devil and God always wins. Isaiah 25:8 says He will swallow up death in victory: and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.

What does it mean to be a winner? It means to achieve victory over others. God never loses a battle. 1 Corinthians 15:54 says SO when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, death is swallowed up in victory.

What does overcome mean? Overcome means to conquer! 1 John 2:13 says I write unto you fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children because ye have known the Father.

No matter what battle you are facing if you trust in God, He will make sure you get the victory. God wins every time.
