Gathering of Authors coming to Texarkana
Tammy Thompson Presents The 15th Annual Gathering of Authors, Featuring Todd & Colton Burpo, the family behind the movie HEAVEN IS FOR REAL.
Texarkana, Arkansas – The Gathering of Authors will present the 15th Annual Gathering of Authors benefiting the Greater Texarkana Autism Awareness. This event will be held on Nov. 8 and Nov. 9 at Circle J Cowboy Church, Texarkana Arkansas.
There will be two dozen authors alongside the NEW YORK TIMES BEST SELLING Author Todd Burpo, and his son Colton Burpo. They are the real family behind the film HEAVEN IS FOR REAL, and will be sharing their story with all who attend the charity Event Friday, Nov. 8 at Circle J Cowboy Church in Texarkana, Ark.
On Friday, November 8 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, is the Charity Dinner, where Todd and Colton will tell their story that inspired the film HEAVEN IS FOR REAL. It’s an RSVP Event and there will be dinner/speaking tickets and just speaking, should someone just come for that part of the Charity event.
This movie was one of the biggest blockbuster Christian films that ever was, and viewers would love to know they are coming to our town. T hey will also be autographing their books the following day at the Author event at Circle J Cowboy Church from 10 am to 3 pm.
On Saturday, Nov. 9, from 10 am – 3 pm, is the main Author Event. For Fifteen years now, we have done our very best to make a difference through literacy. We’ve raised money for St. Jude, Arkansas Children’s Hospital and now The Greater Texarkana Autism Awareness. It’s our goal to make our mark and take care of our kids and your kids. On the ninth, there will be several dozen authors autographing books and meeting new readers.
There will also be a kid’s corner, free food and drinks, door prizes, vendors and a silent auction. all for the cause of Autism.
Please help us get the word out and possibly let the community know about the speakers who will be here to inspire us with their story. Todd and Colton Burpo will be available for interviews Nov. 8 all day and just before the Charity dinner that night at 6:30 pm. Radio stations can set up a interview time as well for Friday, Nov. 8.
