Frog the Rooster provides free school supplies Aug. 3
Atlanta’s own Frog the Rooster and Savannah Burns are at it again! This time they are doing their regular fall school supplies giveaway. This year’s event will be held at ABC Auto parking lot, on Saturday, Aug. 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., supplies are free; burger to-go plates will be available also with chips and drink for $5.
“We are giving away back-to-school drawstring bags with a supply starter kit: (Pens, pencils, pencil box, glue, crayons, markers, folders, spirals, headphones, and other various supplies etc). We are able to help 425 children this year with starter kits,” says Burns.
You will not need registration papers or an ID to pick up the supplies, says Burns. “They just have to sign in at pickup table. The kits are provided for all local school-aged children. “We have different packs for different grade levels. They will work for all the local districts.”
Burns says that all the money for events are raised from fundraisers, yard sales, bake sales, donations from fans, and sales of Frog merchandise from her online store www.frogtherooster.com
To get more information on Frog the Rooster, people can always checkout her social media pages and YouTube channel for events and fundraisers. “We also take donations via PayPal - PayPal.me/ FrogTheRooster,” says Burns.
If you want to help donate to that and future events you can put money in the donate jar the day of the event.
People should know, says Burns that “all funds raised will be put back to the community for food drives, Toys For Tots, etc.” The Journal did a story a few months back on the unusual bond between the unusual bond between a girl and her rooster named Frog, and how she has used that local and national attention to help others through charitable events.
