Dulude is new Linden Police Chief
On April 26, the City of Linden welcomed David Dulude to be its new police chief. Judge McMillon swore in Dulude to a courtroom full of people that included the mayor and various city administrators. Dulude will be taking over for interim police chief Alton McWaters who is also the Justice of the Peace for Precinct 1. McWaters served briefly after David Lorance resigned as the interim police chief.
Dulude grew up in Sulphur Springs Texas and has been a police officer since 2007. Before taking the position in Linden, Dulude worked at the Waskom ISD Police department where he served as the Chief of Police for almost nine years prior to accepting the position of Chief of Police of Linden. Prior to that, Dulude was at the City of Waskom. “I completed the Leadership Command College(LCC) class of 81 and will have my Master Peace officer Certificate in May of this year,” says Dulude
Dulude currently resides in Waskom Texas. He has two grown children, a daughter who is a high school Math teacher in League City Texas and a son who is an active duty member of the US Army. “I am very excited to be starting on this journey here in Linden Texas.” City Manager Lee Elliot is also happy to have Dulude on board. We are very fortunate to have a new chief with Mr. Dulude’s background and experiences. His view of community policing and partnering with the citizens of Linden to increase everyone’s safety impressed all of us. We look forward to seeing Mr. Dulude use his skillset to rebuild a stronger Linden Police Department.”
