From these nominations, one eighth-grade student from each middle school is chosen to receive the DAR Youth Citizenship Award.

Charlene Kress was presented this award at the Avinger Junior High Award Ceremony on May 20 by Charleen Granberry and Nancy Allday

Jaysi Pond of Bloomburg received this award on May 18 at the Bloomburg Junior High Completion Ceremony from DAR members Charlotte Evans and Mary Echols.

On May 21, Addison Barnes was presented this award at the Hughes Springs Junior High Ceremony by Greta Wright and Brinda Mandella.

On May 28, Anna DeBeaux was presented this award at the McLeod Middle School Eighth Grade Certificate Ceremony by Mary Echols and Carolyn Addington.
