Crabb at First Baptist Church

On Sunday, Dec. 12, the First Baptist Church in Atlanta, Texas will be hosting a concert with world renown gospel artist Jason Crabb. The event is free and no tickets are necessary as this is a Christmas gift from FBC to the Cass County and surrounding areas.

According to Dale Perkins, ll, Minister of Music, First Baptist has been offering this type of program free to our area for the past 26 years. “We feel it a real blessing and privilege to do so. Everyone is invited and there will be an opportunity to meet and visit with Jason at some point during the evening. There are no reserved seating and first come first seated. Come early to get a good seat.”

“In his career, Kentucky-born Jason Crabb has been honored with two Grammy awards along with 22 GMA Dove Awards – being named the Gospel Music Association Dove Awards Artist and Male Vocalist of the Year along with Song of the Year – along with a host of industry honors and recognitions, with chart-topping hits that inspire the multitudes. Among his honors, he is the youngest member to be inducted into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame, and his hometown of Beaver Dam, KY recognized him by naming a street as Jason Crabb Drive.

Unexpected, released on April 20, 2018, was honored with a Grammy® at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards® in February 2019. The project was produced by Jay DeMarcus (Rascal Flatts) and features Gary LeVox (Rascal Flatts) and Kaya Jones, as well as a song written with disco icon Gloria Gaynor.

Then we will be singing some songs with Jason during the concert. He is a Grammy and Emmy winner and a regular with the Gaithers. Doors open at 5 pm. The Ladies Handbell Choir from FBC will begin ringing at 5 pm outside the auditorium on the front pavilion area and ring until around 5:30 presenting a Christmassy, musical welcome to all who are attending,” says Perkins.
