Continuing to learn, school must go on
While the kids are out of school and many are off work, this may seem like the perfect time to relax and maybe even be lazy.
Texas A&M AgriLife Extension has a better plan.
For those who have students enrolled in their College and Career Readiness program, the program continues.
On March 27 they hosted a workshop and training program called Practicing for Your Future online.
The workshop focused on teaching students how to write a resume, fil out job applications, and even how to obtain a letter of recommendation.
The Extension office wants to ensure students retain a semblance of normalcy during this time of non-traditional learning.
With social distancing guidelines to consider they are offering a wonderful alternative for students looking to continue learning how to do thing that will aid them once they have graduated.
Those students who are in both middle school and high school can still sign up for the program by having their parents call (903)756-5391.
During this time of social distancing, there will not be monthly meetings in person, however, they are hosting workshops and training online.
