JB’s Authentic Tacos Kitchen will have a ribbon cutting today at 801 West Main Street, according to Jill Crocker, Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce President. Holiday Makers Market is set to take place Saturday.

“Downtown Atlanta is where you want to be as we celebrate the Holiday Maker’s Market presented by the chamber, and Hometown Christmas Event presented by the Atlanta Young Professionals Network,” Crocker said. Festivities start at 4:00 p.m., with street closures beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Hiram and East streets. The parking lot to Luigis will also be closed at 3:00 p.m.

As for today, Crocker said to enjoy a free taco at JB’s as you support local.

“Thank you for your work, patience, understanding and grace during the 2022, Christmas Parade,” Crocker said, thanking TEXAR Federal Credit Union, who sponsored the movie-themed Christmas parade this year.

Crocker asked that area people complete a 2022 parade review form with comments on this year’s parade.

“Let us know the good and bad,” Crocker said. “We need to know what we can do better and what we need to focus on again. Remember a complaint without a solution is just noise.”

Wednesday, CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System-Atlanta was slated to have a Christmas lighting ceremony. Crocker said the hospital gift shop has three weeks of sales going on in December.

For more detailed information, Crocker directs chamber members to the member’s only facebook group, The AACOC, or their Website.
