Chamber Chat

The Chamber was blessed to be a part of an amazing weekend of activities. On Friday evening the streets were bustling with people checking out the classic cars and participating in the fun and food. We had over 75 registered classic cars for the Steven Smith Cruise Night.

At the event Friday we also 15 total entries in the Homemade Ice Cream Contest. The highly sought-after “People’s Choice Champion” trophy was awarded to State Bank for their “Cass County Backroad” flavor, a play on Rocky Road. Other notable flavors were Raegan Rice’s Lime with Mango Chamoy Swirl, Kelsey Martin’s Fruity Pebble, and Amanda Lafferty Law’s dairy-free Strawberry!

Saturday brought the Bessie Coleman Fly-in. It was a great first event, and we look forward to engaging the community and building next year even better! The Ninety-Nines were a wonderful group of pilots, and we are already in communication for next year’s Fly-In.

Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Farmers Insurance, Heath Clark Agency (710 W. Main St. in Atlanta). We will cut the Red Ribbon at 11:30 a.m!

SATURDAY, JUNE 26

“Atlanta Local” Maker’s Market at 210 E. Hiram St. 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Homemade, Handmade, Homegrown!

903 Artisans Art Show at the Plaza on Main! Artist demos all day with a wide variety of styles and techniques! Pulled Pork lunch fundraiser!

(Paper) Shredding Party hosted by Superior Realty! 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Shred up to 10 boxes of paper for free at Superior’s Office at 506 W. Main Street!
