End of Year
The Cass County 4-H Club announced its Banquet End of Year recognition list a couple of months ago.
County Council Members are: Skyler Mathis, Austin Swedoski, Jordan Swedoksi, Morgan Cooper, Tucker Burton, Mackenzie Baker, Jayla Gunn and Aubree Harp.
Those who took part in the District Photography Contest were: Bella Lockhart, Jayla Gunn, Jayvni Gunn, Aubree Harp, Austin Swedoski and Summer Swedoski.

Club Report
Cass County Hope 4-H Club Report for Oct. 26, was as follows: the Wildlife Team of Ally Hamilton, Tymber Reust, Phenyx Reust, Strut Reust, Austin Swedowski, Jordan Swedowski and Summer Swedowski placed second and third at the Gilmer double-header with Tymber and Ally placing in the top 10.
At district they placed first in 4-H with Tymber Reust as high point. Strut Reust placed first for “Youth Angler of the year” in his Bass Club.
Morgan Cooper won Best of Show in the State 4-H Photography contest in Themed category of Elements. She also won five red ribbons for the categories: Animals-Domestic, Details and Macro, Elements of Design, Enhanced, Landscape and Nature and three blue ribbons for Dominant Color, Plant/ Flora, and Theme/Elements.
Morgan also passed her CVA exam with an 87 and earned her Certified Veterinary Assistant Level One certificate and patch.
In the District 4 Record Book contest, Morgan Cooper won first place in the Veterinary Science category.
Jayvin Gunn won first place in the Shooting Sports category, Jayla Gunn won third place in the Fashion category and Morgan‘s Record Book advanced to the State Record Book competition and won eighth place.
Cass County Recognition Awards were: Morgan Cooper - Gold Star Award; Jayla Gunn - Silver Star Award and Jayvin Gunn - Bronze Award.
Lauren and Tucker Burton traveled to Beaumont over the summer to participate in the International Junior Brangus show.
Lauren was elected the 2020/2021 Reporter for the International Junior Brangus Breeders Association (IJBBA). She will travel to Belton next month to help prepare for the IJBBA show that will take place next summer.
Tucker won Reserve Senior heifer at the Western National held in Texarkana in September.
Lauren completed the Farm Bureau Leadership Conference over the summer and scored 100 percent on all four modules. She was awarded some really nice prizes including a North Face Backpack, t-shirt, Blue Tooth sound system and YETI Rambler.
She was very thankful for Farm Bureau to give her this opportunity. Tucker won Reserve Senior Showmanship at the Northeast Texas Fall Showdown. He also won Reserve Brangus.
Ally Hamilton received second place in class with a commercial steer. She had the Champion British Division Bull and Grand Champion Bull overall.
Ally also had the Grand Champion Hereford Heifer and Reserve British Division. She also received second place in Class on another Hereford Heifer.
Peyton Harris showed at the Quitman Young Farmers Livestock Show and had the Champion ORB Heifer.
At the Pittsburgh Show Peyton had the Reserve ORB heifer, Reserve exotic Division and won Showmanship.
At the Northeast Texas Show, Peyton had the Champion ORB, Champion Exotic, and Reserve Champion in Showmanship.
