Caffe’ Crema honored with small business award
On Wednesday, April 30, Caffe’ Crema was announced to have received the 2025 Hiring Our Heroes Small Business Grant. The announcement was posted on the Hiring Our Heroes Facebook page. Caffe’ Crema was one of five small businesses in the country honored with the award in a ceremony hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C.
Hiring Our Heroes is a program of the nonprofit organization, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, whose mission, according to their official website, connects the military community—service members, military spouses, and veterans—with American businesses to create economic opportunity and a strong and diversified workforce.
As part of the Facebook announcement, the program said, “Each of this year’s award recipients exemplifies the incredible impact of military-connected entrepreneurs in our communities: Creating jobs, building legacies, strengthening local economies, and inspiring future generations. We are honored to celebrate their success with funding to help their businesses continue to innovate and grow.”
Caffe’ Crema, owned by Tanya and Greg Beers, was established in 2021 and opened its doors officially on May 24 of that year. Greg is a retired veteran of the U.S. Navy. Tanya assumes the day-to-day operations of Caffe’ Crema as the General Manager, ensuring customers receive a superior quality beverage service. The specialty coffeehouse boasts a warm, relaxing atmosphere when you walk in, which is exactly the sort of environment the couple wanted to bring to downtown Atlanta.
“I’m honored to be one of five small businesses in the country to receive this award,” Tanya commented on the official Facebook announcement amidst numerous congratulations from their peers.
Caffe’ Crema is open Monday-Friday. 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m on Saturday, and closed on Sundays.
