Building projects taking shape at Atlanta ISD
Atlanta ISD has a number of projects they are working on currently including the entrance to Atlanta Primary School, the new baseball and softball fields and the CTE Building.
Things are taking shape at Atlanta Primary School as the entrance to the primary school is starting to take shape. They put the gable up last week, and they are hoping to pour cement for the sidewalk this week so that they can begin putting the awning up.
At the high school, they have cleared the space for the CTE building and hope to complete the pad for it next week, weather permitting.
If you have driven by the high school campus lately you can see the ball fields coming together nicely.
They have been hauling in the dirt for the baseball/softball complex. The rain has caused some slowing of progress on this project. They hope to have the fields completed by May and the CTE building done by December 2023.
Superintendent Sidney Harrist believes they are progressing at a good rate, considering the weather they have had. No reported timeline for completion has been released.
The Journal-Sun will be giving regular updates of the progress being made at the district.
