Brabham announces new release

It’s no secret that Cass County is home to many successful musicians – some are more well-known than others, and some are known better for other reasons. Ted Brabham is well known for several reasons – one being his stellar piano playing.

This fall the Atlanta native will release his seventh studio album entitled “Ted Brabham, With Love,” a collection of 10 timeless ballads, which will be available for purchase in October. The CD will be a follow-up to his 2003 album “Ted Brabham, In the Key of Love.”

Starting at the age of six, Ted took piano lessons for 12 years from the late Ms. Aileen Hardin. He has used his talent to perform at weddings, parties, and even the White House during President Bill Clinton’s first term in 1994. In 2001 he performed at Carnegie Hall.

After graduating from Atlanta High School in 1981, Ted attending Southern Methodist University and Texas Tech University Law School. He had a successful career as a high-profile defense attorney based in Florida and worked on cases such as the Canadian Tourist Murders, Subway Sandwich Shop Murders and represented Timothy McVeigh (Tulsa, Oklahoma bomber) for a time. He moved home in 1996 with wife, Penny, and children Ted Jr. and Scarlet.

Recorded in 1999, “Ted Brabham – The Long Journey Home” was his first album and still stands as his biggest seller. Subsequent albums were: In the Key of Love, The Prayer, Sunday Evening Jazz, Ted and Friends Christmas from Atlanta with First Baptist Church Choir members, and Songs of Hope with Stephanie Casteel.

The newest album, which he will begin recording this week at Over The Edge studios in Texarkana with producer Bryan Jeffries, will be available at CDbaby.com for $20. You may also purchase the CD at Ted’s store, Camelot Manor Antiques, in Atlanta.
