Because you called
Psalm 18:3 it says “I will call upon the name of the Lord, who is worthy to be Praised: So, shall I be saved from my enemies. V.6 In my distress I called upon the Lord and cried unto my God: He heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before Him, even into his ears.
God hears you every time you call or cry to Him. It may be midnight or mid-day before He answers your prayers, but He’s never early or late, He is always on time, He’s ready when He’s ready. You just have to go out in Faith and not doubt.
Matthew 14:31, “And immediately Jesus stretched out his hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” When Peter looked away from Jesus while walking on water, he began to sink. We have to have faith! John 20: 25-26 talk about Thomas and his disbelief, commonly known as doubting Thomas.
It occurred to me when I was reading Peter’s doubt, that it is like going with Jesus, Carrying your Cross. But when Peter looked away it is like a Human looking at the ways of the world and falling into it, going away from Jesus. But Jesus Reached out his hand, Just like he is offering this human to come back to his kingdom, you just have to take his hand.
