Be prepared for fun this Saturday

Saturday, Sept. 14th should be a fun filled day in Linden. Starting at 3 p.m. the Chamber will host the ribbon cutting for the Gingerbread House and then at 3:15 p.m. we will host the ribbon cutting for the Olde 1852 Market Company and the Barbwyre Boutique.

At 4 p.m. the Second Saturday events will begin. Local businesses and dining will be open with lots of selections for the community. Also at 4 p.m. the Book Signing for Judge Dennis Jones will take place at the Olde 1852 Market Company. Judge Jones was a graduate of LKHS in 1972 and has recently published a murder mystery titled Blurred Justice.

From 5 until 8 p.m. Linden Main Street will host a Block Party on the south side of the historic Square. Local organizations will have food vendor booths set up.

Come enjoy all of the fun at the party, a little after 8 p.m. the long awaited “Let Linden Shine” will occur with the lighting of the iconic 1934 Water Tower. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs and let’s fill Rush Street with a celebration of watching the light show that will be produced by Longview Lights.

Following the lighting many can gather over at the Linden Public House for an after lighting Party open to all of the public. The Pub will be open until 11:30pm on this night. Look forward to seeing everyone on the 14th.
