Atlanta gears up for parade, route changes

Announcements have been made for the 2022 Atlanta Area Christmas Parade. This year’s only change to the route is the parade will turn at Williams and Hiram and then disperse (as shown). In years past it has gone on down Hiram but it would bottleneck and stop near the Baptist church.

We will be cutting off parking on East and Hiram to Williams by 2:00 p.m. on Saturday for additional safety.

The parade will be on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 5:30 p.m., with a deadline to enter your float, Friday, November 25, 2022 The float contest and parade theme will be “Christmas Movies” the Chamber is encouraging people to use their favorite holiday movie as inspiration for their float design, and those lighting elements should be present as the parade takes place after dark! “Be creative and do your own interpretation of the theme to fit your organization! People ages ten and over may throw candy from parade vehicles.

Participants may enter their float into the parade and contest for FREE. The float contest includes a Commercial Division & Non-Commercial Division.
